| Summit Entertainment has finally announced a Jacob Black! It is going to be Taylor Lautner! This was the announcement they Stephenie Meyer had on her page. I'm very happy to announce that Taylor Lautner will be playing Jacob Black in New Moon and that he's doing so with the enthusiastic support of Summit Entertainment, the producers, and Stephenie Meyer.
The characters in Stephenie's books go through extraordinary changes of circumstance and also appearance; so it is not surprising that there has been speculation about whether the same actor would portray a character who changes in so many surprising ways throughout the series. But it was my first instinct that Taylor was, is, and should be Jacob, and that the books would be best served by the actor who is emotionally right for the part. I think that fans of Twilight the book and the movie will be surprised by the Jacob Black that Taylor will bring to the screen in New Moon; and I'm looking forward to working with him and the rest of the cast in realizing the film.

| even though i love edward best i still loved taylor as jake it was definatly the best person for the job i dont know how any one else could possibly play jake |

| my sister has never read the books and she was like the only reason i want to see the movie is because taylor is playing jake and i laughed sooo hard b/c watching the movies and not reading the book would totaly not b the same |

| my friend got me hooked then we got our other friend hooked then we got our other friend hook.then since we talk bout it all the time we got 1 of our friends that thought it was really stupid hooked on it. its really funny i see people around school reading it all the time. even my teacher reads it non-stop. |
